PLO implies that four prisoners died of COVID-19 in Israeli prisons. None did.

This is from an English-language PLO press release for Palestinian Prisoners Day:

The spread of CORONA-19 [sic]  pandemic caused the prisoners' infections rose to (368), as a result of poor health care and protection measures, and a scarcity of protective tools, which led to the death of 4 prisoners inside the Israeli occupation prisons during the year 2020, PNC added.

It is hard to parse the poor English but either the PLO is saying that prisoners died of COVID-19 or of Israeli medical negligence.

Here were the prisoners who died while in Israeli custody in 2020:

Jaber Al-Barghouthi - fell unconscious while in a bathroom

Daoud al-Khatib - heart attack

Sa'di al-Gharabli - 75, cancer and diabetes

Kamal N. Abu-Wa’ar- throat cancer

If the critics can think of ways to keep people with terminal cancer or heart attacks alive, I think that not only Israel would welcome the news, but the entire world.
