David Singer: Trump Rejects UN and UNESCO’s Fictitious Palestinian State
Bolton was unequivocal in his statement:
“Palestine” is not a state… It’s not a state now. It does not meet the customary international law test of statehood. It doesn’t control defined boundaries. It doesn’t fulfill the normal functions of government. There are a whole host of reasons why it’s not a state.”
Article 1 of the 1934 Montevideo Convention completely substantiates Bolton’s claim.
Holding out the carrot after administering the stick – Bolton continued:
“It could become a state, as the president said, but that requires diplomatic negotiations with Israel and others… We have consistently, across Democratic and Republican administrations, opposed the admission of ‘Palestine’ to the UN as a state, because it’s not a state.”
Bolton’s tempting offer may have been made to try and get the PLO to negotiate with Israel on Trump’s soon to–be-released peace plan. It seems certain to fall on deaf ears as the PLO wants nothing to do with Trump’s plan.
The PLO will only be more infuriated at this latest Trump effort to engender some reality into the Arab-Jewish conflict – as happened when Trump recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
UNESCO’s decision to admit “Palestine” as a member in 2011 in clear breach of UNESCO’s own Constitution has come back to bite UNESCO with a vengeance – with America and Israel quitting
UNESCO on 31 December 2018.
UNESCO anti-Israel decisions made since “Palestine” was admitted to UNESCO membership have included:
Pure fiction.
- January 2014 – cancelling an exhibition at its Paris headquarters on the Jewish presence in the Land of Israel
- October 2016 – disregarding Jewish ties to the Temple Mount – only referring to it by its Muslim names – then several weeks later – passing a softer version of the resolution that referred to the Western Wall by its Jewish name – though still ignoring Judaism’s ties to the site.
- July 2017 – designating Hebron and the two adjoined shrines at its heart — the Jewish Tomb of the Patriarchs and the Muslim Ibrahimi Mosque — as a “Palestinian World Heritage Site in Danger”.
- On 29 November 2012, the UN General Assembly granted Palestine“non-member observer state” status.
Israel envoy to UNESCO: Do what you want, we’re leaving anyway
Israel’s top UN envoy blasted UNESCO’s attempt to water down its controversial bi-annual Jerusalem resolution, reaffirming that Israel planned to leave the organization at the end of the year. How Palestinians Lie to Europeans
Danny Danon spoke after the 58 members of UNESCO’s executive board in Paris hid language disavowing Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem in the lengthy annex to an otherwise short benign text called Resolution 28.
The statements in the resolution’s annexes are “further evidence, for anyone who did not understand why the United States and Israel withdrew from UNESCO," Danon said.
The board gave its preliminary approval to that text on Wednesday, with a final vote likely to be held on Monday.
UNESCO’s director-general Audrey Azoulay lauded the use of an annex text to bypass some of the controversy caused by the Jerusalem resolutions in past years.
“I wish to thank those who have worked to achieve this, especially the representatives of the Palestinian, Israeli and Jordanian delegations, and all members of the Executive Board who supported this agreement, as well as the European Union,” Azoulay said.
A similar compromise had been reached at the April Executive Board meeting. At the time, the Israeli and the Palestinian delegations accepted the annex compromise, with Jerusalem welcoming Azoulay’s efforts to downgrade the anti-Israeli tone of the agency.
In the eyes of Hamas and its supporters, it is fine for Palestinians to throw explosive devices and firebombs at soldiers, but it is completely unacceptable for the soldiers to defend themselves. According to the twisted logic of the Palestinian leaders, it all started when Israel fired back.
Those who sent the Palestinians to clash with the Israeli soldiers along the border with the Gaza Strip are the only ones who bear responsibility for killing more than 150 Palestinians and injuring thousands of others.
The goal the Palestinians have in mind is to see Israel gone. All of it. Mahmoud Abbas believes he can achieve this goal by waging a diplomatic war against Israel in the international community -- one aimed at delegitimizing and demonizing Israel and Jews.
The question, again, remains whether the international community will ever wake up to realize that Palestinian leaders are playing them for fools. The European Parliament delegation that visited Ramallah is a good test case: What message will its members convey back at home: the truth about the ruthless and repressive Palestinian Authority, or the lies that were spoon-fed to them by Abbas and his friends?
PMW: Abbas’ advisor: Islam’s religious war to destroy Israel has started
Conflict between Palestinians and Israel is:
"Between Islam and the enemies of Islam"
"Between the Muslims and the enemies of Muslims"
"Between the Islamic culture and the culture of Satan"
"Between good and evil"
"Between Allah's project vs. Satan's project"
PA Mufti: "The harming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque (i.e., including the Temple Mount and the Western Wall) and the holy sites and the desecration of their sanctity will certainly lead us to ominous results... those who hold the beliefs will not be silent and will not accept them being harmed... We will not allow any harming of this noble belief, for which we are ready to die."
The most important religious figure in the Palestinian Authority and the closest to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, continues to tell Palestinians that the conflict with Israel is an uncompromising religious war for Islam against Israel and Jews. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, who was appointed by Abbas as his personal advisor on Islam and the PA's Supreme Shari'ah Judge, recently stated that conflict today with Israel is "The Battle of History between Islam and the enemies of Islam." Israelis/Jews are the "enemies of Islam," "enemies of Muslims," have a "culture of Satan," and represent "evil." Worse yet, Al-Habbash explained that the current battle is not just another battle on behalf of Islam. It is the ultimate battle described in the Quran as the "final promise," leading to great destruction for the "Children of Israel." It should be noted that Al-Habbash teaches this message of epic religious war to a very religious Palestinian Muslim population. Polls consistently find that 95% of Palestinians saying that religion is "important" for them.
PMW: UN mistranslation concealed Abbas' glorification of terrorists and PA's pay for slay policy
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas during his recent speech at the UN General Assembly spoke of the "pure Martyrs" and "heroic prisoners" - "who [Israel says] it is forbidden to pay." The UN's simultaneous translator ignored Abbas' blatant glorification of terror and defense of paying salaries to terrorists by changing his words with a mistranslation! Compare the texts:PMW: Trump is shark and Israel's puppet in latest Trump-mocking cartoons in official PA daily
What Abbas said in Arabic
UN's wrong translations"I pay tribute to our pure Martyrs and our heroic prisoners.
I say to all Palestinians: First, Israel considers [the Martyrs and prisoners] criminals.
Why? Why does it, when it has many thousands of people who have attacked everybody - and these are heroes?
Why is the one who murdered Rabin considered a hero and we - our people - are criminals whom it is forbidden to pay?
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 29, 2018]"
"I pay tribute to all freedom loving countries and peoples and our martyrs,
and I would like to tell all Palestinians, Israel considers them as criminals.
Why? In Israel there are thousands who used to assault everybody and they are considered heroes.
Why is that who killed Rabin is a hero while our people are criminals [translation missing here]?"
The parts that were changed are very significant. When Abbas said "I pay tribute to our pure Martyrs and our heroic prisoners," he was paying tribute to imprisoned and killed terrorists, including hundreds of murderers of civilians. This was odious terror glorification from the podium of the UN.
Mistranslating this as if Abbas was paying tribute to "all freedom loving countries and peoples and our martyrs," made his words sound benign.
When Abbas a few sentences later complained that it is "forbidden to pay" these terrorists - a reference to the PA's policy of paying salaries to terrorists and the international community's condemnation of this practice - the UN translator omitted the reference to the salaries altogether!
Could it be that these mistranslations were done intentionally?
The Palestinian Authority leadership continues to demonize US President Trump because of his support for Israel, and PA and Fatah repeatedly express their contempt in words and cartoons. Pompeo: U.S. blocked $165m in funding due to Palestinian incitement
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo teased the Trump administration's upcoming peace plan on Wednesday as a "truly historic" effort to broker an agreement between Israelis and Palestinians, accepting an award from the Jewish Institute for National Security of America in Washington.
Speaking at the Grand Hyatt downtown, with senators and diplomats in the audience, the secretary hinted at a plan that would offer the Palestinians a state – a word only recently introduced into US President Donald Trump's lexicon, when he endorsed a two-state solution to the storied conflict last month.
"We are making a truly historic push for peace between Israel and the Palestinians," Pompeo told the crowd. The peace plan– designed by Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, and Jason Greenblatt, his special representative for international negotiations, over the course of nearly two years– will be released "before too terribly long, and we are hopeful that both sides will have constructive conversations to lead to that."
"We are very hopeful that one day the Palestinian people will have the same kinds of things, the same material, the same opportunities that the people of Israel have," said Pompeo. " A real economy, a real governance, all the things that we want for every citizen of the world."
"We very much want you to have a space," he added.
But Pompeo also announced to the crowd that he had denied a $165 million transfer of aid to the Palestinian Authority earlier in the day, over its failure to adhere to the Taylor Force Act, a law that bars the State Department from continuing aid to the PA unrelated to security cooperation unless Ramallah ceases its practice of compensating the families of convicted murderers and terrorists.

JCPA: Tension Grows Between the Palestinian Authority and Egypt
In the past month, tension has increased between the Palestinian Authority and Egypt following attempts by Egypt to mediate between Hamas and Israel and reach an agreement for long-term calm. Egypt has made the issue of achieving a calm a higher priority than internal Palestinian reconciliation and the possibility of restoring full control of the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Authority.Honest Reporting: Gaza Truce Talks: The Breakdown.
According to senior Palestinian figures, as a result of this tension, a planned meeting between PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi that was supposed to take place during discussions at the UN General Assembly was canceled.
In a tense telephone conversation between President el-Sisi and the PA chairman, which took place in September 2018, the Egyptian president demanded that Abbas lift the sanctions he imposed on the Gaza Strip out of concern that they could lead to an explosion due to the harsh humanitarian crisis.
However, Abbas refused to back down. When el-Sisi told him he is “endangering Egyptian national security,” Abbas replied, “What is endangering Egyptian national security is the establishment of the Muslim Brotherhood state in the Gaza Strip that Hamas is aspiring toward.”
Danny Danon: Nikki Haley: A Warrior for Truth and Justice
Over the years, we have grown accustomed to seeing the United Nations as an institution of lies and twisted half-truths the likes of which are disseminated by Arab countries and our enemies around the world, but with Nikki Haley’s appointment as US ambassador to the United Nations, a new era was born.JPost Editorial: Thank you, Nikki Haley
Haley didn’t mind the criticism. She wasn’t worried about being in the minority. She stood, head held high, with one goal in mind: to expose the truth.
The change led by Haley at the UN Security Council, which brought an end to the automatic support for unilateral moves by Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas to push forward resolutions condemning Israel and saw her voice her clear support for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, is just one example of her energetic activity for the State of Israel.
This was a period of real change, in which the tendency towards lies was replaced with the pursuit of truth, when the terror machines of Iran and Hamas and the lies of the Palestinian Authority were exposed to the world to reveal the true face of our enemies.
I am proud to say that this is partially due to the collaboration between Haley and myself. The bond forged between the Israeli and US delegations led to many achievements, some of which I have noted here, as well as the establishment of a common policy on many varied fields.
I also had the honor of accompanying Haley on her first visit to Israel, exposing her to the beauty and uniqueness of Israel. I have no doubt that visit helped her become acquainted up close with our country on various levels and, at the same time, the threats we face.
Thank you, Nikki. Thank you on behalf of the State of Israel and the Jewish people, for the joint march on the path to the advancement of democratic values, equality, and peace.
Haley knew this to be true of the UN Human Rights Council, as well, and tried to remove its permanent agenda item that has Israel condemned regularly by human rights violators like Iran and China. After a year and a half, the US left the council, which she said is “not worthy of its name,” rather than legitimize it with America’s presence, as the previous administration had for eight years.Ten of Ambassador Nikki Haley’s Finest Moments
Yet, another truth is that the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, twisted and inflated their numbers. Haley was instrumental in the American decision to stop funding UNRWA, and called for it to slash its refugee count.
“If they actually change the number of refugees to an accurate account, we will look back at partnering them,” she said in August.
Haley introduced a Security Council statement putting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on notice for making an antisemitic, Holocaust-denying hate speech earlier this year.
Antisemitism, Haley wrote, “has historically contributed to threats to international peace and security, mass atrocities and widespread violations of human rights.”
Nikki Haley is joining the pantheon of staunch defenders of Israel at the UN Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Jeane Kirkpatrick. She has been an unwavering, stalwart ally of Israel, and for that we thank her. Haley will be missed at the UN, and we look forward to and hope for her return to public service.
Ambassador Nikki Haley, who announced Tuesday that she would be leaving her post as United States Ambassador to the United Nations at the end of the year, made her mark by vigorously defending Israel in the often-hostile world body. But Haley didn’t just defend the Jewish state, she also pointed out the dangers to the Middle East and the world presented by Iran and called tyrants to account.Nikki Haley Greatest Hits
During her confirmation hearing in January 2017, Haley asserted that American leadership was “essential” in international affairs. However, she acknowledged that despite U.S. leadership, the UN is “an institution that is often at odds with American national interests and American taxpayers.”
She called the UN’s anti-Israel bias “outrageous,” and showed that the bias wasn’t just a perception, but quantifiable. In the just-concluded General Assembly session, Haley noted, “the UN adopted twenty resolutions against Israel and only six targeting the rest of the world’s countries combined.”
Haley called the U.S. abstention allowing passage of the anti-Israel UN Security Council Resolution 2334 “damaging,” and promised, “I will never abstain when the United Nations takes any action that comes in direct conflict with the interests and values of the United States.”
Haaretz: French Consulate Employee Confesses to Making $12,000 Smuggling Weapons to Palestinians in West Bank
The employee of the French Consulate in Jerusalem charged with smuggling dozens of weapons from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank in official diplomatic vehicles has admitted he received $12,000 for the smuggling, of which he says he wasted $4,000 in Tel Aviv nightclubs.Minister seeks posthumous Medal of Valor for terror victim Ari Fuld
During questioning, Roman Frank, a driver for the French Consulate who carried an official French passport, confessed to the Israel Police and Shin Bet security service that he and the Palestinians who worked with him smuggled weapons six or seven times from Gaza to the West Bank, though he is being charged with five such attempts.
The last of the smuggling attempts had gone awry when a suitcase filled with guns was “stolen” from Frank’s vehicle. At first, Frank said he suspected one of his Palestinian accomplices who also worked for the consulate and is known as Abu Zaki. Frank later confessed that he let Abu Zaki steal the weapons – and afterwards discussed the possibility of selling them with him.
Frank also claimed throughout his entire interrogation that he was surprised by the timing of the theft, because he had expected to carry it out just a short time before he returned to France. He also said he did not know what happened to the guns. “Abu Zaki told me that he would handle the sale of the guns and I could receive $150,000, and I said that I want at least $100,000 to buy for myself a house in France without loans,” Frank told investigators.
Frank also told his interrogators that he had been drawn to Islam at a certain stage in his life and wanted to marry a Palestinian woman. In recent years he stopped eating pork, but denied any connection between his actions and religion.
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said Thursday he wants to award a posthumous medal to US-born Ari Fuld, who pursued and wounded his assailant during last month’s attack at the West Bank’s Gush Etzion Junction.Reservist moderately injured in stabbing attack outside West Bank army base
Fuld did so despite having been fatally stabbed, preventing the terrorist from attacking a mall employee and possibly saving her life.
Erdan asked Police Commissioner Roni Alsheich to consider awarding Fuld a police Medal of Valor for his actions following the attack at a shopping center. He instructed Alsheich to convene the police’s awards committee urgently to discuss the matter so that Fuld can be honored at the next awards ceremony, to be held in November.
Security camera footage of the shopping center shows Fuld, after having been stabbed and with blood pouring down his back, chasing and shooting 17-year-old Khalil Jabarin. He then collapsed to the ground.
Two people were injured in a stabbing attack outside an army base in the northern West Bank on Thursday, the army said.
An Israeli soldier was moderately hurt, sustaining stab wounds to the face and upper body. A civilian woman, 26, was lightly injured by a ricochet from shots fired at the assailant, who fled the scene.
“IDF troops are searching for the terrorist,” the army said.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m., the stabber attacked the Israeli soldier, a 30-year-old reservist, with a knife, outside the Shomron Regional Brigade headquarters in the northern West Bank, near the Itamar settlement, the Israel Defense Forces said. He then ran away.
Other IDF soldiers on the scene opened fire at the assailant. Shrapnel from the shots struck the woman in the leg. The stabber may have fled in a waiting car nearby, Hadashot TV news said.

IDF demolishes Gaza attack tunnel that penetrated 200 meters into Israel
The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday destroyed a tunnel that penetrated some 200 meters into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, which the army said was dug by the Hamas terror group using techniques meant to make it more difficult to spot by Israel’s detection systems.
The tunnel originated in the area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and was “part of and connected to a military tunnel network,” according to IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus.
The military said this was the 15th tunnel destroyed by Israel since October 2017.
In the past two years, the Israeli military has employed a variety of technological and intelligence means to find these underground tunnels, with which Israel fears Hamas and other terror groups could commit attacks inside Israel.
The Defense Ministry is also constructing a new above- and below-ground barrier around the Gaza Strip in order to combat these tunnels. It is due to be completed next year.
Conricus would not elaborate on the techniques Hamas employed in the construction of the tunnel to try to avoid detection by the IDF.
We estimate $3 million worth of cement, electrical equipment, and hours of labor were invested in this tunnel instead of investing in healthcare, education, or food for the people of Gaza. pic.twitter.com/AVyhsWtipT— Israel Defense Forces (@IDFSpokesperson) October 11, 2018
Palestinian indicted for smuggling weapons to Hamas, protesting in Gaza
The Southern District Attorney filed an indictment on Thursday with the Beersheba District Court against a Gazan man for smuggling weapons to Hamas and violently protesting on the Gaza border.Palestinian Arson Attacks from Gaza Cause 1,053 Fires in Israel in Six Months
According to the indictment, Solomon Qadi, 20, assisted Hamas hundreds of times since 2017 in smuggling ammunition, explosives and a range of other items through underground tunnels from Egypt into Gaza.
Since March, he has also participated in the Gaza border protests, often throwing rocks and burning tires at soldiers and at IDF positions.
On multiple occasions, he has helped break portions of Israel’s border defenses.
Finally, on September 22, he penetrated the IDF's initial fences and approached an IDF position where he was arrested at gunpoint.
Over the past six months 11,920 dunams (some 3,000 acres) of farmland and woodland have been burned in fires caused by incendiary kites and balloons flown from Gaza into Israel, according to the KKL.JCC hoax bomber indicted for additional threats phoned from prison
Forests in the Gaza border area saw 1,053 fires that consumed countless of trees. The majority of the conflagrations erupted in the Be'eri forest, which suffered 452 fires, while 353 fires broke out in the Kissufim Forest.
The Shokeda Forest saw 75 fires, while 31 fires erupted in the Hannun Forest and 29 fires scorched the HaBesor Stream Forest.
Many trees were significantly damaged and their rehabilitation is expected to take years. Furthermore, hundreds of wild animals perished in the fires.
The data was provided by KKL's foresters in the western Negev area, who have been constantly on call over the past six months, arriving at the scene the minute they receive a report about a fire breaking out.
"The nature in the Gaza border communities has been severely damaged," one of the firefighters in the area said.
"In my opinion, when rain comes, we'll be able to know what can be renewed. This is a severe blow to nature. Where once people set under trees, everything is scorched now," he lamented.
The Tel Aviv District Court issued a fresh batch of indictments against a young American-Israeli man who has already been convicted of hoaxing US Jewish community centers and other targets around the world with thousands of bomb threats, charging him Thursday with making additional threats from prison and for attempting to escape police custody.Accomplice in deadly Jerusalem terror attack denied early release
The 20-year-old, M., whose full name is being withheld by a gag order in Israel, has been diagnosed with autism and also suffers from a brain tumor, which his parents say has further impacted his behavior. The Tel Aviv District Court acknowledged his medical condition, but concluded in its June conviction that M. was nevertheless responsible for his actions.
In the new set of charges, M. is accused of collecting phone numbers of schools, malls and hotels on slips of paper he hid in his cell. He managed to acquire the phone access of one of his fellow inmates and use it to call in three threats on the morning of April 29, the indictment said.
Two were to a pair of elementary schools in central Israel where staff who answered were informed that a bomb had been planted inside a backpack in the building and that a bloodbath was imminent, the cyber department of the Tel Aviv District Attorney alleged. The schools were evacuated and police along with sappers were called to the scene to search the premises for explosive devices that turned out to never have existed.
M. also allegedly placed a nearly identical call to an Eilat hotel, where he told a security guard who picked up the phone that a bomb had been planted somewhere inside by an employee of the hotel. The hotel was evacuated; a search of the building by authorities turned up nothing.
The State Attorney’s office on Thursday nixed a decision to grant early release to one of the men jailed for their role in a terror attack in Jerusalem last year, in which a Border Police officer was killed.Qatar pledges $150 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza
East Jerusalem resident Hani Dari was found guilty of negligent manslaughter for illegally driving the three Palestinians from the West Bank to the Old City in June 2017, where one of them stabbed Hadas Malka to death while she was on patrol near Damascus Gate.
West Bank resident Muhammad Hamdan, who arranged the smuggling of the men, was also charged with negligent homicide. The court determined the two did not know about attack plans, and last July sentenced Hamdan to 14 months in jail, and Dari to 16 months.
Hamdan was released earlier this year, after the prisons service parole board reduced his sentence by a third, going against the recommendation of the prisons authority and without telling Malka’s family.
Last month, the parole board announced that Dari’s sentence would also be reduced by a third, but his release was delayed after Malka’s family asked the district attorney to intervene in the matter.
On Thursday, the Southern District Attorney’s Office said the prison parole board failed to take into account the extent of danger the driver poses, and noted that the Shin Bet security service was also opposed to his early release, Hadashot news reported.
Qatar has announced a pledge of $150 million in humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip, the state-run Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported late Wednesday evening.Ahed Tamimi Wakes Up From Nightmare Where She Was in an Arab Jail (satire)
Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ordered the Qatar Fund for Development to send the aid to Gaza “to lessen the increasing graveness of the humanitarian tragedy” in the coastal enclave, the QNA report said.
The Qatar Fund for Development is a state-sponsored aid organization that supports development and humanitarian projects in different parts of the world.
Gaza suffers from severely inadequate water, electricity and health infrastructure, widespread poverty and an extremely high unemployment rate, both due to the Israeli and Egyptian blockades — Israel says it is necessary to prevent arms from reaching Hamas terrorists — and due to ongoing conflict between the Hamas terror group that rules Gaza and the Palestinian Authority, from which Hamas wrested control of the Strip in 2007.
The $150 million will be delivered to Gaza through the United Nations Development Program and other UN parties, the QNA report added, without elaborating on which sectors in Gaza the funds are slated to support.
The Daily Freier asked Ahed to describe this prison. “Well, it wasn’t like doing time in the Zionist Entity, let me tell you. No parties. No hair braiding and talking about cute boy bands. No singing. I didn’t get to study for my High School Examinations. I guess the only upside is that unlike jail in ‘Israel’, I didn’t have to worry about gaining weight. But one bowl of porridge and a slice of stale bread a day will do that for you.”Iran plot in Paris 'lays bare' terrorist intentions, Pompeo says
Ahed then talked about another weird aspect of her dreams: she wasn’t featured in any magazines. “Yeah, isn’t that strange? It’s almost as if the Arab and Muslim and Woke worlds only cared about me when I was in an Israeli prison.” The Daily Freier asked Ahed what it was like in real life to be on the cover of fashion magazines. “It was great to be in Vogue and all. I mean, they usually interview really famous people like Bashar Assad’s wife Asma…. I hear that next month Vogue is bringing Asma back to share her secret recipe for an amazing household potpourri that totally masks the smell of chlorine gas on your husband’s work clothes.”
Ahed continued. “So in this dream, Real Madrid didn’t give me a jersey when I got out of the Arab prison…. come to think of it, in my dream I never get out of prison. Also, I never got an annoying nickname like “Shirley Temper” because my identity was stricken from the population registry when the government made me disappear.” The Daily Freier asked Shirley Temper where she heard about the nickname Shirley Temper. “I dunno I read it in some right-wing Israeli blog, but I forgot their name. Don’t they sometimes publish the Daily Freier?”
The Daily Freier asked Ahed for any closing thoughts. “Yeah, if you’re going to slap a soldier in your dream, make sure he speaks Hebrew first. Trust me.”
A plot by Iranian officials to bomb a dissident rally in the heart of Paris “lays bare Iran’s continued support of terrorism throughout Europe,” and justifies the Trump administration’s broad reimposition of sanctions on the state, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday.Iranian FM meets Neturei Karta delegation
The secretary praised Germany's decision a day prior to extradite Asadollah Assadi, an Iranian diplomat accredited in Austria, to Belgium, where officials first hatched a plan to trigger explosives at a June 30 rally of the Paris-based National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
“The scale of this plot, which involved arrests of numerous suspects across Europe – including in Belgium, France and Germany – reminds us that Iran remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism,” Pompeo said. “We support our European allies in exposing and countering the threat that Iranian-backed terrorism poses around the world.”
Last week, France seized assets belonging to Iran’s intelligence services and two Iranian nationals in response to the plot. “An incident of such gravity on our national territory could not go unpunished,” said a joint statement by its foreign, interior and economy ministries.
Two Iranian individuals are already being held in Belgium suspected of involvement in the bomb plot. They were caught in possession of explosive material.

Ten rabbis from Neturei Karta met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif in New York City on Friday, the group reported.
Led by Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, the delegation expressed its appreciation for what Neturei Karta called Zarif’s “longtime friendship” with world Jewry.
“Rabbi Weiss thanked Dr. Zarif for his longtime friendship with Jewish people of his country and worldwide,” Neturei Karta International wrote in a social media post.
Weiss also expressed his gratitude for Tehran’s “protection” of its Jewish minority. While more than 60,000 Jews lived in Iran prior to the Islamic Revolution of 1979 according to the Iranian government, the 2011 census showed the population had dropped to under 9,000.
“This is a true example of the teachings of the late Ayatollah Khomeini, who was very clear in differentiating between Judaism and Zionism. Iran does this naturally, not for advertisement,” Weiss said.
In an article titled "The Inquisition or the Holocaust," Jordanian journalist Tahsin Al-Tal, who writes for the Jerash city news site, compared the torture of Muslims at the hands of the 15th century Spanish Inquisition to the Jewish Holocaust during World War II. He wrote that there is no tangible evidence that the Jewish Holocaust actually happened, except for a few photos circulated by Jews, and that, even if it did happen, the number of Jewish victims probably did not exceed several thousand. The Jews, he added, harness the Holocaust for the sake of their homeland, and use the phenomenon of anti-Semitism to justify their cruelty against the Palestinians and against Muslims and Christians in general. He also claimed that Jews perpetrated atrocities in the countries where they lived: "killed children and monks and sucked their blood like bats."Seth Frantzman: ‘Curse the Jews,’ Yemen’s Houthi rebel slogan handed out at university
Al-Tal then elaborated on the suffering of the Muslims under the Spanish Inquisition, saying that it killed hundreds of thousands of them and describing some of the torture methods it used. He criticized Spain for granting citizenship to the descendants of the Spanish Jews while closing its gates to the descendants of the Muslims who had built it. He also castigated Muslim youths who cheer for Spanish football teams despite Spain's historical crimes against Muslims.
The following are translated excerpts from his article.[1]
"For those who like the Spanish people and are fans of the Barcelona and Real Madrid [football] clubs, here are some definite facts about the Spanish and what they did to the Muslims 500 years ago. This was during the period known as the Inquisition. Do you even know what the Spanish Inquisition was?
"The Ashkenazi Jews claim that Germany and its leader [Adolf] Hitler perpetrated against them the greatest crime in human [history], and that [Hitler's] forces burned them with chemicals and gas in specially-made ovens, killing about six million of them during World War II. [But] there is no evidence for the claims of the Jews, except for a few photos published in their newspapers, news sites and television channels around the world. We don't really know if the bodies presented as those of Holocaust victims are actually the bodies of Jews or the bodies of victims killed in the bitter battles of World War II. Who can say they are really Jews? And [even] assuming the dead bodies in the photos are Jews, how many [Jews] could there have been at the time? Today, in the third millennium, there are no more than 15 million Jews. If Hitler had [really] killed six million of them, he would have exterminated them completely, leaving only a handful. This handful could not have spawned millions of Jews since World War II.
“Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse the Jews, Victory to Islam,” is the slogan printed on small cards handed out at Sana’a University in Yemen. Nadwa Dawsari, a specialist on conflict and tribes in Yemen, posted a photo of a laminated “student and staff ID” on October 9 on Twitter.
The slogan has been used for years according to Dave McAvoy, a security and risk analyst who tracks developments in the region.
“It’s an integral part of their propaganda and chanting. It’s the Houthi slogan,” says McAvoy.
The Houthis are a Yemeni rebel group that conquered Sana’a and almost took control of Aden in 2015, threatening the country’s most important cities. A Saudi Arabia-led alliance has been fighting the rebels since then. The Houthis are backed by Iran and have fired ballistic missiles at Riyadh. In the last years they have increasingly incorporated anti-Israel rhetoric into their speeches, as part of the growing network of Iranian-backed groups in the region, such as Hezbollah, that are obsessed with fighting Israel.
The Houthis have incorporated the antisemitic “curse the Jews” slogan into their chants as well.
“They chant it at their marches. They shout it in their combat videos and they hold signs which read it,” says McAvoy.
The hatred of Jews and singling out of Jews is specific to the Houthis. McAvoy points out that while the Iranian regime often includes the chant “death to America, death to Israel,” in rallies, the Houthis pioneered the fuller version targeting Jews. They put the slogan on their flags. The website Al-Bawaba pointed out last year that “oddly enough, the Houthis have denied that they have any issues with Jews.”
However, Yemen’s information minister in 2017 indicated that the fate of the last few dozen Jews in Sana’a was unclear after the Houthi offensive targeted the city. Jews fled Saada in 2009 when the Houthi rebels first began gaining control of areas in the mountains.
